Course Description

In our ever increasingly busy lives, one thing we end up not doing is focusing on ourselves. We must intentionally schedule time for us to reflect, improve, expand and grow as people and especially as leaders.

We spend a lot of time and energy creating SMART (specific, measurable, attainable/realist and timely) goals for work, but how many of us create those same type of goals for ourselves? Probably not many, but it is crucial in our leadership journey!

During this course, I will introduce and walk you through the four main steps for creating a personal leadership development plan. I will also provide you with some tools and/or resources along the way to help you.

President and Training Leader

Brandon Brazeel, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Early in my life I discovered my passion for helping everyone around me be better, and that has stayed my passion and focus all of these years later. I achieved my first management position while I was still in high school because the company saw maturity in me for my age and my drive to not only make myself great, but also everyone else around me. I spent about five years gaining management experience in the entertainment type industry as a manager before I decided it was time to go to college. During my time as a full-time student, I continued to work in various industries from construction to leasing apartments to the financial industry.I received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Management and minor in Economics from Oklahoma State University. From there I managed banks for about fours years before I was recruited over to the Human Resource side of the business. I have now been in the Human Resources field since 2007. I completed my MBA at Oklahoma State University in 2010 and achieved my Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) in 2011, and achieved my SHRM-SCP in 2015. In my current role, I am the Regional Manager of Human Resources, and I manage five different locations throughout the United States. I also teach HR and management classes at a university in Tulsa, Oklahoma as an adjunct professor. I have served on the Board of Directors for the Tulsa Area Human Resource Association (TAHRA) since 2011, and I was the 2013 President. I have also been a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) since 2011.I really enjoy coaching and training to help everyone I can succeed in whatever they do.

In this course, you will learn all about yourself. What stood out to me was learning what emotional intelligence meant. You will find your strengths, weaknesses, and (something I wasn't aware of) opportunities and threats. These are all things to consider. For me, looking at career possibilities, I found I could take this information and apply it to what I want to do. The hardest part is probably the goals and goal setting. Either way, you will see what the reality is behind the goals you set, and why you want the things you do according to your personality.
